Portrait of George MacDonald lecturing drawn by Dante Gabriel Rossetti (1828-1882) on the back of an admission ticket to one of George's lecture series. The picture was in the collection of Maria Zambacco, Burne Jones' mistress.

Portrait of George MacDonald drawn by Edward Hughes, Arthur Hughes' nephew, who was engaged to George's daughter Mary. The portrait was drawn in 1886 and published in "the Sphere" in 1905. The original, at one stage, was owned by Greville MacDonald.
